Re: VMware Desktop Hypervisor Pro Apps Now Available for Personal Use
Good news, but I will stick with KVM/QEMU - works very well for me

Code: Select all
Sounds good. Thanks for the notice.
Now, if a few more of the relevant links worked, then it might do
more than merely _sound_ good.
I fought my way to the new (13.5.2) VMware Fusion kit [*], but the
new free-Pro license scheme seems to require removing the old Player
license, any way to do which I have yet to find. (I'd prefer to avoid
uninstall+install.)
[*] "For the full story, check out Michael's posts on the Fusion and
Workstation blogs." worked better for me than "downloading the latest
build from the new download portal located at support.broadcom.com."

which is one the useless links. The obvious menu allows _changing_ a
license key, but I saw no way to _remove_ one.
Presumably, they'll improve this, eventually. (Mergers and
acquisitions -- how hard could they be?)
