New Boot Manager Manual ?
The E9.2-3 installation guide references a new VSI OpenVMS x86-64 Boot Manager User Guide [https://docs.vmssoftware.com/vsi-openvmsx86-
64-boot-manager-user-guide-923/]. However, the link to get the manual gives a 404 Not Found error.
Can the manual be made available ? I'm assuming that it is here that the Guest Console is documented. Even a preliminary copy, perhaps as a private distribution to Field Test registrants, would be helpful.
Thanks.

Our Documentation team is looking into the matter and will be updating the document to fix the link as soon as possible.

Re: New Boot Manager Manual ?
Thank you.
So, is there an x9.2-3 Boot Manager manual or will the documentation be fixed to reference the 9.2-2 version ?
I see the Guest Console mentioned in the Release Notes. Is it documented in more detail somewhere else ?

Re: New Boot Manager Manual ?
I am curious about the new commands "OPA0" and "NOOPA" which appeared with BOOT_MANAGER used with 9.2-3

These enable and disable the VGA console respectively. A link to a YouTube video is no replacement for proper documentation but you can see it in action here. https://youtu.be/T4P0ASqrIpc?si=9FXf_gRcF1WYhgP7&t=1108

Re: New Boot Manager Manual ?
Thanks. You beat me to the punch so for others who have not yet watched the video, it appears that you can install, or update to, OpenVMS-9.2-3 entirely from the VGA console (so no need to connect via the iLO on bare metal installs on machines like the HPE DL380 gen9). This was a long time coming (wished HP had done something similar in the Itanium days) so kudos to the whole team at VSI.
To do this, type OPA from within the boot manager prior to booting your optical media.
Obviously you wouldn't do this (but would type "COM 1") to have someone work via the iLO, but you would still need to reconfig your system firmware so that VSP (Virtual Serial Port) command connects to COM1 (COM2 is the factory default)

Re: New Boot Manager Manual ?
The fix has been made, the link in the install guide now points to the V9.2-2 Boot Manager Guide.
The Guest Console does not have any more documentation at this time as it is still relatively new.
