Expired X86 field test
Just received a(n apparently) one-time https://sp.vmssoftware.com/ message about expired X86 field-test arrangement (should have paid more attention). Where to from here?

Re: Expired X86 field test
Access to packages on the portal are governed by product contracts. The original X86 Field Test contract expired, hence the warning message. A new X86 Field Test contract has been entered for all previous contracts, so you should not need to do anything to continue your evaluation.
Thanks,

Re: Expired X86 field test
Access to OpenVMS V9.2 for x86_64 is open to OpenVMS commercial customers. Please open a browser window and enter url vmssoftware.com. Click the "Get OpenVMS 9.2" button to request access the V9.2 software.
Community member hobbyist are not yet allowed in the field test, do not apply if you only have a community license. Community hobbyist access will open after the C and C++ native compilers are available.

Re: Expired X86 field test
Thanks for that clarification. Do you have any estimate (however vague) when that might be?

Which states, "I represent a customer and I am interested in purchasing OpenVMS V9.2." Definitely not the case.madsweeney wrote: ↑Fri Jul 15, 2022 5:47 amAccess to OpenVMS V9.2 for x86_64 is open to OpenVMS commercial customers. Please open a browser window and enter url vmssoftware.com.

So not for ISVs? Which I understood I was registered as, and had access to E9.2 since April.Community member hobbyist are not yet allowed in the field test, do not apply if you only have a community license. Community hobbyist access will open after the C and C++ native compilers are available.

Re: Expired X86 field test
Just logged a support request. Parallels an earlier response here.
Rather than immediate access to V9.2 I'd be looking for access to native compilers. So I'd wait for the conversion to complete. Thanks for the more specific response.V92 (commercial) is a separate product, and requires a different license. Conversion of the field test sites is underway by sales (you can expect to be contacted), but you could use the V92 request form on the [VMSSOFTWARE.COM|http://VMSSOFTWARE.COM] main page to speed things along.
