How can I get the username of the original/master process when I am
telneted/sshed/set hosted with a different username?
For example, my users name is mhall I am SSHed to my alpha and logged under
username "testhr". What can I do to to identify that the original username is
"mhall" while I am logged under "tetsthr". Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks a million.
(9790) IP and remote username info?
Re: (9790) IP and remote username info?
The IP stack does not offer this feature; there is no username
information uniformly available within the IP stack, unlike
the implementation of DECnet. You will have to implement this
yourself, or use a distributed authentication mechanism such
as Kerberos.
