Currently, based on what is reported in the release notes, it would appear that the x86 Python kits are still in the field testing phase :

...
Python and Python Wheels for OpenVMS Release Notes - March 2024

Python 3.10 and Python Wheels 1.1-6 Field Test for VSI OpenVMS x86-64
VSI-X86VMS-PYTHON-A0310-0RELEASE008-1.PCSI$COMPRESSED
VSI-X86VMS-PYTHWHLS-A0101-6FIX07-1.PCSI$COMPRESSED <--
....
4. What’s New in This Release?

This is a field test release of Python v3.10 for OpenVMS x86-64 with the wheels kit providing latest
versions of some packages. Note that the Pandas module is not included.

Ah, one of the big missing things preventing ports during the old CLP is available now.
Well, it will be good to have Monty Python now.

Does this actually require the update package to be installed on 9.2-2? If so no one with the VMDK can test this.
