Will NOTES be ported to x86?

Talk about commercial or opensource products that already exist for OpenVMS or may be available in the future.

As I understand it, it's in the pipeline but not a high priority item.

Yes, definitely -- no timeline, though.

As you know, we (still) use it for source control.

Yeah. That is useful for BBS systems. We are waiting for that.

In 1980s, we used NOTES system at my university for communications with other students and professors.

My x86 machine is setup for dial-ins. I think having NOTES will be fun.

The poster of the original note used to work in VMS Engineering in the DEC/CPQ/HP days and is aware that VMS Engineering used to use Notes, but not be aware that at VSI we still use it.
