I have a .PCSI file I want to sign. I have a valid LMF license for SIGNER. But what tool do I use? Where is this documented?
Thanks

What tool signs a .PCSI file?
Re: What tool signs a .PCSI file?
Code: Select all

I've never done it, so I know nothing, but my Web search found some
suspicious stuff under CDSA, Common Data Security Architecture. The
first place Google found the docs was off-site:
https://www.digiater.nl/openvms/doc/alpha-v8.3/83final/BA554_90006/index.html
https://www.digiater.nl/openvms/doc/alpha-v8.3/83final/BA554_90006/ch03s01.html
I still know approximately nothing, but I did find this on my system,
as predicted:
SYS$SYSDEVICE:[VMS$COMMON.CDSA.SIGN]CDSA$SD_SIGN.COM
Looks educational, at least.
Re: What tool signs a .PCSI file?
Thanks for the reference. I didn't know that this manual covered this; there is nothing in the PCSI manuals. And the manual is not very specific, but it's a start.
The manual is in PDF format on the VSI documentation page
https://vmssoftware.com/resources/documentation/
but google does not index PDF files to the same extent as HTML documents, so it can be hard to find.
Thanks
