Okay, so the IEEE floating was always an issue for the VAX. I thought I'd remembered a version but apparently I was wrong. I guess it was always Alpha and newer.

I did a little research.

Apparently they tried on VAX, but could not get it to work satisfactory.

I have his most recent book on Agile and have conversed personally with him as well, nice polite guy, knowledgeable it seems. Has a certain vision for the industry which some don't agree with, but can outline and reason about it well.

On comp.os.vms Roland posted stuff like:

"Promoting AGILE is promoting widespread criminal fraud."

"Despite AGILE being a criminally fraudulent methodology."

which did not sound particular knowledgeable about the topic.

There are plenty of other stuff available about various agile methodologies both positive stuff and negative stuff (note that agile is not a methodology - agile is just some principles behind a large number of very different methodologies).
