LANCP SHOW CONFIG/USERS

Post by ndcsupport » Fri Jul 14, 2023 1:55 pm

I'm running OpenVMS V8.4-2L1 on an HP rx2600 (1.40GHz/1.5MB).

My networks are: DECNET (Phase IV) and HP TCP/IP Services for OpenVMS Industry Standard 64 Version V5.7 - ECO 5.

When I do $ MC LANCP SHOW CONFIG/USERS from my own account, I see this:

I64PS LAN Configuration (14-JUL-2023 13:46:06.56):
Parent or
Device PrefCPU Medium/User Version Link Speed Duplex Auto BufSize MAC Address Type Description
------ ------- ----------- ------- ---- ----- ------ ---- ------- ---------------- ------------ -----------
EIA0 0 Ethernet X-61 Up 100 Full Yes 1500 AA-00-04-00-A4-08 UTP 82559LOM
00-30-6E-F3-DD-39 (default)
EIA2 60-07 NISCA 1498
EIA4 60-03 DNA Routing 1498
EIA5 08-00 IP 1500
EIA6 08-06 ARP 1500
EIA7 86-DD IPV6 1500
EIA8 60-04 LAT 1500

EWA0 1 Ethernet X-101 Up 100 Full Yes 1500 00-30-6E-F3-3D-83 UTP BCM5701
EWA3 60-07 NISCA 1498
EWA8 08-00 IP 1500
EWA9 08-06 ARP 1500
EWA10 86-DD IPV6 1500

But when I run the same command logged in as SYSTEM, I see only this:

$ mc lancp show config/users

I64PS LAN Configuration (14-JUL-2023 13:52:26.04):
Parent or
Device PrefCPU Medium/User Version Link Speed Duplex Auto BufSize MAC Address Type Description
------ ------- ----------- ------- ---- ----- ------ ---- ------- ---------------- ------------ -----------
EIA0 0 Ethernet X-61 Up 100 Full Yes 1500 AA-00-04-00-A4-08 UTP 82559LOM
00-30-6E-F3-DD-39 (default)
EWA0 1 Ethernet X-101 Up 100 Full Yes 1500 00-30-6E-F3-3D-83 UTP BCM5701

I can't see any significant difference between my account and SYSTEM.

Does anyone know why I'm getting different output?

Thanks, Don
